How to Play
The Tigers
- 1.4 tigers start at the four corners
- 2.Move along lines to adjacent points
- 3.Capture goats by jumping over them
- 4.Win by capturing 5 goats!
The Goats
- 1.Place 20 goats one at a time
- 2.After placing, goats can move along lines
- 3.Goats cannot jump over pieces
- 4.Win by trapping all tigers!
The Board
The game is played on a 5×5 grid with 25 intersection points. Pieces move along the lines connecting these points. Some intersections have diagonal connections for more movement options.
A Thousand Years of Strategy
Bagh-Chal originated in the highlands of Nepal, where Himalayan herders would scratch the board into the dirt and play using stones as tigers and pebbles as goats.
